Practice Crossings
Build a foray.
The probe is how you build courage for the full crossing without having to bet everything on the first attempt.
The foray is the preparation that makes the full crossing survivable.
What counts as a foray
A foray is small. You can start it inside ninety days, and you can finish it. It is real: it costs you something, and someone else can see whether you did it. It is time-bound, with a date on the calendar and an end. And it has a debrief, because a foray you never talk about teaches you less than half of what it had to teach you.
Go. But go slowly enough to be changed.
