Don't cross alone

You need evidence, not encouragement.

The person with no model doesn't lack courage. They lack evidence.

This is why community matters in the Problem stage. Not cheerleaders, but people who have crossed and carry the evidence. People who can say: I was where you are.

Six at a time

Circles

A circle is six people in the same stage who meet on a set rhythm. It is small on purpose. Six people can hear each other, and six people notice when one of them goes quiet.

You have not named your crossing yet, so nothing here is sorted for you. Name your crossing first

I was where you are

The Witness Wall

These are accounts from people who finished a crossing, written for people who are still inside one. Read them in the order they were written. Nothing here is ranked, counted, or scored.

What did you find on the other side?

Write it short, and write it for one person. No links, no organization names, no promotion of anything. Every entry is read by a moderator before it appears, so it will not show up here right away.

An older traveler and a younger traveler sit by a river at sunset; the older draws a route in the sand.

Someone who went first

Chapter 23 calls them mentors.

Not cheerleader, but people who have crossed and carry the evidence.

Nobody here is credentialed and nobody is coaching. A mentor is a person who made the same kind of crossing before you did and is willing to say what it took. Requests are private. No email address appears on this page.

  • Nobody has offered yet. If you are at Prowess, you can be the first.

Post from the middle

An unfinished crossing is the most useful thing here.

This is not a place for highlight reels. The account that helps someone is usually the one written before the ending is known, while the cost is still being paid. If you are in the middle, say so plainly and say where you are stuck.
