Chapter 24 · Section Six, Stage 4: Progress
Noticing You Have Grown
Each crossing, even the ones that felt like failures, deposited something.
The question this chapter asks
What can you do now that you could not do a year ago?
Practice
15 minutes
Three deposits
Name three things earlier crossings deposited in you that you did not have before. Beside each one, write the crossing that left it there.
For the group
Name one thing you can do now that you could not do five years ago. Say it out loud. Then the group tells you: what crossing do they think made it possible?
For the leader
People are bad at recognizing their own growth. The group sees it better. Let them mirror it back.
If your group prays together
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
